SharePoint, it has been a while.

“Perhaps I’m old and tired, but I always think that the chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied.”

The last “real” article on this blog dates back to August 5, 2016, so more than half a year ago. The reason: recent projects kept me away from SharePoint and Office 365. Well not entirely true, as I have been working with customers help them move away from SharePoint and use other products and services.  These projects were usually about retiring public and internet facing SharePoint solutions and replacing them with more sustainable CMS solutions (Orchard, Kentico and more recently Umbraco). But I did not consider them SharePoint topics or at least not the topics I would like to write about.

As this is not likely to change in 2017, I now decided to start to include other topics like Umbraco and Azure on my blog. That said, SharePoint and Office 365 are still a solid offering targeting collaboration and the products are very much alive today. Well maybe even more so than a few years ago, so I do hope to get back to SharePoint (Online) soon!
